It was our first house and we'd just moved our stuff in. The price was higher than we'd hoped to pay but a parent's basement is sufferable for only short time and bouncing around from apartment to apartment was no longer a good time. In short, we were almost out of money. We decided one way to save money, but time wasting, course of action was to shop for home appliances on craigslist. We estimated we would end up saving us about $3,500, but we whether it would save us any money in the end. Who knew how well-maintained these appliances had been. To remedy this problem we hired an appliance service shop examine all of our potential purchases. With only a small charge they could tell us if any of the machines were impaired, dilapidated, or otherwise not worth the investment before we went through any purchases.
