Nature's Leading Advocate!

At age 14, Galante was the youngest person in history to head an international canoe safari down the Zambezi River. And this is just one of the many examples of Galante's early adventures. Galante is a passionate person who is driven to educate people about nature and help people save our most valuable resource-our planet. His expertise with wildlife and his scientific background are assets to biological groups world-wide as he typically seeks to partner with local groups to explore remote regions. As a conservationist, Galante strives to leave a positive, biological impact no matter if he's searching for whale sharks in Africa or Komodo dragons in Indonesia.

Through the course of his journeys, Forrest Galante has caught crocodiles, swam with several species of sharks, photographed venomous reptiles, outsmarted a startled hippo, dodged an angry panther and had countless other adventures. His career began in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, with a focus on animals close to extinction. His approach to wildlife, love for the outdoors and exceptional background has led to the development of his own television show, 'Extinct or Alive,' on Animal Planet. The show follows Forrest as he treks across the world looking for animals he believes have inaccurately been deemed extinct.
