At age 14, Galante was the youngest person ever to head an international canoe safari down the Zambezi River. This is just one of many examples of his early expeditions. Galante is truly passionate about education and helping people save our most valuable resource-our planet. His hands-on approach with wildlife in conjunction with his scientific background are assets to biological groups around the world as he typically seeks to partner with local groups exploring remote regions. As a conservationist, he aims to leave a positive, biological impact in every place he visits, whether searching for whale sharks in Africa or big cats in South America.
Galante was the public's favorite participant on Discovery Channel's program 'Naked and Afraid' in December of 2013, where he spent 21 relentless days in the jungles of Panama. The cast swiftly followed his lead as Forrest's skills set him apart. This was the public's first encounter to the naturalist Forrest Galante. He now hosts Animal Planet's top program 'Extinct or Alive,' where he utilizes his unique skill-set scouring for evidence that animals once declared extinct may still be in the wild. Forrest considers this the most meaningful television work he has ever been a part of, as it pairs education with conservation and wildlife with exploration. It's his undeniable dedication to the natural aspects of the world we live in that attracts us to this amazing individual.
